Drumrole please....

Baby A & Baby B -- Boys!

Baby C & Baby D -- Girls!

Each of the babies are growing right on schedule! They all measured 16 weeks even though I was only 15.5! The ultrasound tech kept scanning and saying everything looks...normal! Normal for single babies, but extraordinary for quads! God definitely has his Hands on us. The ultrasound took 2 hours, 1/2 hr for each baby, and they measured everything about them. Making sure they had all their parts and that they were the right size. It was fascinating to learn what the different shapes on the screen are. With Hailey we only had 2 ultrasounds, 1 being from Jen learning at school at 3 months! The kids kept moving all around, jumping, flipping over, so amazing! The boys (Babies A & B) are on the bottom in the middle, with Baby Boy A being at the bottom of the pile. The girls are smart, camping out on each side with more room. We just keep praying and giving this pregnancy to God every day. Everyday and every appointment brings more proof He's in control and has a plan for these babies!

15 weeks

Every week it just gets bigger and bigger! Sorry for not posting the last couple days, I really have fallen asleep if I lay on the couch for longer than 5 minutes! I've gained 15 lbs so far, only 30 to go! The babies are doing great - I've really been feeling them move lately too! Just before Nich took this picture, I got a big kick in the middle which can blame on Baby A or B. I love it though! Thursday is our big ultrasound day! Hopefully if everyone cooperates we can find out their genders. I think we're both just hoping they're not all boys or girls! Ultrasound is at 3pm and 2 hours so I promise to post as soon as possible!

Starting to get organized!

I know it's sooo early but I'm nesting already! Today we sorted all Hailey's clothes by size (0-6months, 9-12 months and 12months+). Also moved her playroom toys upstairs in the landing between our 2 bedrooms (used to be downstairs where the babies room will be). We'll see how she does tonight with going to sleep and not sneaking out to play! With some great help from the entire Dunn family we were able to move and re-organize everything really quickly! My sewing stuff was originally in the landing and we moved that out - my table went in the babies room for a changing table and my fabric....well, not quite sure yet! Don't worry I let everyone else do the hard work!

Here's a picture of the changing table/sewing table. It's the only thing in their room so far, but I'm so happy to be getting ready! We're going to wait to paint until next week after the ultrasound! I'm getting so excited! Once Hailey falls completely asleep I'll take a picture of the landing.

2nd OB Appointment

Today I went to the High Risk OB Clinic for my 13 week check up. The good news is I've gained 3 lbs this week and all the babies are doing well!!! All this eating is paying off! :) They did an ultrasound and we saw them all bouncing around! It's going to be a circus once I really start feeling them! Bad news...my heart rate has increased again so they put me back on Toprol. Before Nich & I got married I developed Tachycardia which resolved itself when I was 7 months along with Hailey. That's back and I also need to be on bed rest earlier - between 16-18 weeks. Sunday makes me 14 weeks. My next OB is 8/13 and I'll be 17.5 weeks. I'm planning on finishing that week and having 8/14 be my last day of work. All depending on how I'm feeling. Well, just wanted to give everyone a quick update - keep us in your prayers! Ultrasound in 2 weeks!

MOMs group and trip to the Dietitian

Jackson has a Mothers of Multiples group that meets weekly, 2nd Wednesday. Last week I was lucky to join them! There were 3 other women (all who had twins) that offered stories and support. We talked and got to know each other for about 1.5 hours. It was a really good time to talk to others who have been through similar times. Thanks guys!

Thursday I went to see a Dietitian at U of M. (2nd trip of the month). She helped me evaluate how I was doing already (gained 5lbs!) and where I could do better. This diet is challenging, but the better I do the better for the babies! I've been eating a decent sized snack/small meal every 3 hours and at least something every 1.5 hours. She gave me a chart with check boxes for my servings of each food group. I'm doing pretty good! Another thing is she took me off my prenatal vitamins and put me on regular old multivitamins (2 per day), Calcium/Magnesium/Zinc combo (9 per day), Vitamin C (1 per day) and Vitamin E (1 per day) for a total of 13! Personally I'd much rather take 1 prenatal but this combo is more what the babies need right now. I've come to grips with the fact that this couple of months my job is to do whatever I need to nourish these babies. What I do now will make a huge difference come November. Just finished a milkshake and chomping on Cheddar & Sour Cream chips! Already had fruits & veggies! :)

12 weeks and all looks great!!

Today we had our 12 week ultrasound on the high resolution machine at U of M's Perinatal Assessment Center! Everything looks great! Each baby has good heartbeats (152-168) and measured about the same. Baby D was 12 weeks 1 day, A & C were 12 weeks 2 days, and B was 12 weeks 4 days. We learned none are identical, they're all in their own sac and have their own placenta which is healthier for them. The sonographer scanned for about 45 minutes and it was absolutely amazing to watch them all moving! She could've scanned all day and we just watched them playing! Baby C was definitely the most active - jumping then sliding back down. Just about the entire time!! Enjoy the pictures! Next ultrasound is July 30 (15.5 weeks) and a 2 hour one!!

The babies were too big and too far apart for her to get all in one. A homemade collage!

Hailey and I taking our belly pictures! At one time she said she had 10 babies in her belly!

Belly's getting bigger! In maternity pants for sure, and still a little small for maternity shirts. We're making the regular ones stretch for now.

Baby A is at the bottom, going to be a little squished soon.

Baby B just chillin, like it's in a hammock. Hanging out on top of Baby A in the middle.

Baby C - the active one! This one is on my right side.

Baby D on the left side. This one was the only one backwards. Can already see their personalities starting to show! You can see it's hand up by the face and feet bones on the right side.
