Brooklyn's Home!!

Day of Life 1 - 1lb 3.5 oz

Day of Life 139 - 7lbs 3oz

I've overcome...

Respiratory Distress Syndrome
Anemia of Prematurity Requiring Transfusions
Pulmonary Interestitial Emphysema
Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA ligation 10/09)
Chronic Lung Disease
Pneumonia
Collapsed Lung
Extremely Low Birthweight (550 grams or 1lb 3.5 oz)
Respiratory Failure Requiring Mechanical Ventilation
Moderate/Severe Hearing Loss Bilaterally
Retinapothy of Prematurity (laser eye surgery 1/10)
Suspected Early and Late Onset Sepsis
Infant Feeding Difficulties (no problem now!!)

Brooklyn all dolled up in her homecoming outfit! Proud Parents and nurses and Brennan's cheering her on!
Getting ready to check out of Ronald McDonald house after 137 days!

I can't believe we have two babies home! It's been really busy and crazy! Hence the late post! Brooklyn has been such a joy since we brought her home! She definitely is a drama queen and goes from 0-100 in 2 seconds, but when she's awake and happy. She's taking everything in and so sweet! She's just like her sister! We tried for about 3 weeks to get off oxygen, but just couldn't. She's home on 1/8 liter of oxygen 24 hours a day. We'll go to a Pulmonary Appointment next Thursday to see how much and how long she really needs it. 1/8th is just a wiff! We are so proud of our kids! When we were walking out of the hospital we felt like we needed a fanfare - we had 23 weekers coming home!!!!

We are so thankful, words cannot even express how blessed we are! We have seen His power and are so in awe! Just need Landon home too!

I guess I missed this post. Awesome!! I'm sure you're glad to have her where she belongs.

On a totally different note, did Hailey get her haircut? It looks so much shorter in that picture--but VERY cute! (I noticed you did too and I love it as well)

You DEFINITELY needed some fanfare. On bedrest before Samuel was born early last spring, the neonatologist went through the stats with me. He said 23 weekers have a 25% rate of survival. This is such a miracle...just goes to show you that each baby is precious in God's sight and not just a statistic! Matt and I (and our two 26 weekers) are so excited for you!
