Static Electricity

Tonight Hailey discovered static electricity! We rubbed the balloons on our heads then stuck them to the wall! She LOVED it!

Spring Break in Florida :)

Last week we took vacation to FL! Nich & Hailey drove to down Friday around 12 stayed the night in Pigeon Forge and got in to Fort Myers around 11pm. I flew down after food pantry and got in a couple minutes earlier. It was so nice to just relax and enjoy the warm weather! I added the pics to facebook since I had too many to post here! :) Here's the link! Hailey did soo good! We drove up the east coast and saw friends in South Carolina, my brother in North Carolina, friends in Virginia and also met up with my brother in law and sister in law. We stopped in Washington DC on the trip back (which was so cool!), drove through Chevy Chase, MD (I thought it was hilarious there was so much named after him - check out the last pic on facebook), Pennsylvania, Ohio then finally home! :) It was a great vacation, but we're happy to be home too!

Blogger...I haven't forgotten you!

I know it's been awhile but we've had quite weekend! Hailey had a bad UTI and had a reaction to the antibiotics which caused a fever spike. She had a febrile seizure which scared us half to death! We were at Shelby & Ty's and found her in the tent having a seizure. Between the 4 of us, we made a great team! We called 911 and rushed her to Borgess hospital where they took over. The doctors were amazing and brought her around, pumped her with IVs and she started perking up. It took probably 20 minutes for her to be herself, but she's doing great now! They had to transport her to Bronson Hospital because they had a Peds floor. By Saturday mid morning she was 100%. She was pretending to be a frog and ribbeting around the room. Once they unhooked her from the IV she was off playing in the playroom, driving the toy car, getting really anxious to leave. She's on a different antibiotic and has been doing really well. Thank you everyone for your prayers! Once we figure out how to get the pics off our cell phones (yes we took pics and she was posing!) I'll post them!

Uncharted Territory

I did it...joined facebook. Wow is it great! There are friends that I've lost contact with and am so glad to talk with them again! A little hard to figure it out...maybe I'm not as hip and tech savy as I thought! :) I'm sure I'll figure it out soon. Here's to trying new things!

Rough week

Hailey's had a rough couple weeks. First she complained that it hurt when she peed and we thought she had a UTI. I took her to the dr and of course they needed a urine sample. Good luck getting that from a 2 1/2 yr old who's potty training. Needless to say we were at the dr for 1 hour and no pee! We took a cup home to try and catch it and this is what Hailey did with it...


I know it's not the best video, but she was driving that potty seat all over the house! Hilarious!

The week after she had diarrhea for a couple days and we had to have her out of day care. She's such a trooper, she was playing the whole time.

After that this week, she had a fever of around 102-103 from Monday-Wednesday. She was getting over it Thursday morning, but we kept her home anyway to help her get over quicker. Thursday afternoon she did something (probably rolling onto the couch. we're really not 100% sure). Turns out she probably dislocated her elbow. Leave it to Hailey. She's using it now and feeling a lot better! We've had a rough couple weeks but hopefully we're done with the Dr for awhile!
