GREAT Deal!

Nich and I have been looking for a new bedroom set since we moved upstairs...while I have been. :) We finally found it on the cover of Elder Beerman! This was a almost $400 12 piece set and it was on sale, then coupon for 20% off, and I opened a credit card and saved 20% more and got $20 in gift cards!!! The set ended up being $110. Amazing! Shelby - you'd be proud!

Farm Animal Fanatic

After Doodlebops we decided to get our money's worth and walked around the fair for a couple hours. We saw the chickens, turkeys, ducks, llamas, cows, sheep, and bears. We have a real farm animal girl on our hands! We walked through rows of chickens and turkeys and she actually knew the difference!

She told each chicken and turkey "Hi!"

Feeding the ducks! Unfortunately they weren't hungry...

She remembered feeding the horses and Nana & Papa's and grabbed a handful of grass and fed the llamas. She's so caring and fearless!

Pleeeeaaase....Christmas present Papa! :) She loves to mow with Nich and I on our tractor at home and was in heaven with the four wheelers and tractors!

Doodlebops!!

For those of you who don't know Hailey LOVES the Doodlebops! We were so excited they were coming this close to us and we just had to get tickets! Nich and I got out of work early and raced down to the Lenawee County Fair just in time (because they were 15 minutes late) for the start of the concert. Row 13 in the middle....perfect seats!

She was getting so excited! This is just as they played a song that was familiar to her. She realized where we were! She and baby got into it...she was showing baby how to clap along with the music! The music was really loud and it was really hot so I don't think she enjoyed as much as we thought she would. We all had fun though!

Anticipation!

I just bought tickets for Doodlebops! We're taking Hailey on Friday and I'm SOOO EXCITED for her! Doodlebops is her favorite show and she just loves singing and dancing along with Deedee, Rooney and Moe! I can't wait to see her face when we get there! Pictures to come...hopefully we'll find the camera battery charger in time!

Whoa Whoa!

She is talking so much now!!! We're not quite sure what "Badabadabada!" means but she gets excited when she says it!

Note how particular she is with the placement of the dispensers....My little OCD baby. :)

MY Daughter!

So we went for a walk tonight and ended up at the park, saying hi to a couple ladies outside the nursing home and today's the day I will remember for the REST of my life. The day I KNEW without a doubt that Hailey is my daughter (besides birth and all that stuff)......she won't walk over grates! We were crossing a slat bridge and she was walking just fine until she realized she could see the water beneath her. I know, I know, it's probably just a toddler fear (that apparently I never grew out of!), but I smiled inside. :)

Fun on a Saturday...

She was being patient....TOO patient....

Hailey just sat on my lap and handed me a hair tie, then another, then another. I had just about a million hair ties total and she wanted them all in her hair.
Little did she know what I was doing!

You know she's cute when she can even pull this hair do off! :)

Adventures at Wal-Mart....

We stopped by Wal-Mart tonight to say good-bye to one of Hailey's fishies. We just bought it on Sunday too! At this age, giving it back to the nice customer service lady was a lot less traumatic than flushing down the potty. :) They were completely out of goldfish so we'll have to wait to get another later...we'll get 2 for the price of one now - they're 1/2 off! :) That's bargain shopping Dad! Goldfish on sale!

She saw Bert & Ernie as we were walking in through the glass and since she did so good when we were in the store we told her she could sit with them on our way out. The greeter gave us all Hannah Montana 3D goggles and Hailey thought they were SOO COOL!!! See below! :)

She just loves to take care of people (even plastic ones!)

Mommy got pulled into the fun too!

She also played "eyes, ears, nose and mouth" with both Bert and Ernie. Pointing out the body parts on each person. Ernie was pretty cool 'cause she could see his tongue! She was amazed. Ahh...the simple wonders of childhood.

Nich's Birthday

Happy Birthday Nich!

Britti and I made an ICE CREAM cake for his birthday! We should be professionals :)

Happy Fourth of July!

Our little cutie!

FUNNY story! Albion had their fireworks Thursday night and we showed some city spirit and went to see them. We took a blanket and found a spot at the bottom of the hill, got there around 9:15. Hailey made friends with some other kids who were running down the hill (as usual!) and played until 10, when the fireworks started. We were sooo excited to see her reactions and all of us couldn't wait until the fireworks started! We were laying on the blanket looking at some illegal ones she learned how to say "fireworks" and thought they were really neat. While were were waiting for the big ones.....she fell asleep! That's right and slept through the whole thing! She didn't even flinch with the big booms. Luckily they were worth the wait and we stayed through the whole show cuddling with Hailey. We wouldn't trade that moment for the world!

More Vacation Pictures...

AVALANCHE BAY PICTURES:

We were able to get FREE tickets to Avalanche Bay Water Park, a minute down the road from our resort. There were a lot of big slides, kiddy pool and lazy river - 4 hours of fun! Everyone got to ride everything - even the kids rode some of the big slides. Here are some pictures of the fun!

Hailey and Nich riding together down Lazy River.

Aunt Amanda and Hailey catching the other kids as they come down the slide.

Abrial having fun!

Hailey swimming! She had so much fun! The kiddy pool was just the right depth that she and Abrial could jump and act like frogs. They said "ribbit, ribbit, ribbit!" It was adorable!

Video of Hailey and Abrial riding on Papa Dan. A treasure!

Vacation Pics

BOYNE PICTURES:

Last week we were spoiled with a vacation! We spent 3 days in Boyne with ALL of Nich's family and 3 days with my mom and dad up in Pickford in the UP. This was the first time that Nich's dad, brothers and sister, and their kids were together and we had a good time catching up and getting to know one another. The kids bonded instantly! She's going to be so fortunate to have cousins her age. Caden will be 4 in August, Wesley will be 3 in December, Hailey was 2 in June and Abrial will be 2 at the end of July.

Here's a picture of everyone.

(left to right)

Mike started cooking hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill and the rest of the boys went shopping for groceries so that left us girls with the kids. The porch was getting way too cramped for all of the kids to play so we took them all to the park.

As soon as we got there everyone ran off to a different spots on the park.

Then they all gravitated to each other. Perfect for a picture!
